   possible is an understatement. cotto will be the likely next opponent. this is due to PBF’s dodging pacman by signing with marquez instead of the winner of the hatton-pacquiao fight –mind you, pbf signed on the same day. there is noone but cotto or mosley. the question is will any 147 gather enough balls to go down to 140 and bang with pacman? after all pacman moved from 105 to 140, which in itself an incredible feat.

   Cotto could drop a few pounds. I believe he was jr. welterweight once.
   Anyway, Pac vs. Cotto will not happen. Both men are Top Rank cash cows and Arum will NOT risk losing either one of its Filipino and Puerto Rican cash cows, especially if Manny lost since it would jeopardizes a potential bank-busting mega Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight looming in the future.
   A Pac vs Mayweather fight is set in stone . . . . assuming of course, Floyd beats Dinamita first.

   Cotto is a slow puncher. If he goes down to 140 then he will feel the effects of losing so much weight. I think Pacquiao would rip hi head off to be honest at 140. At 147 it would be closer but Cotto is so slow that he can’t beat him at either weight.
   Edit: I saw Cotto vs Jennings and i could see him winding up every punch. He is sloooooow!

   It’s just a question of how many more fights Manny might have…a couple of keys being the result of the Marquez/Mayweather fight..then how long would it take for Mayweather, assuming he wins, to be ready for Manny.
   I don’t think Freddie Roach would take the Cotto fight at this point. A wild card from out of the blue, would be Manny fighting his old rival, Eric Morales at 140 lbs..Eric is currently retired, but he hinted he would fight again..and this would also serve as a warm up fight for Manny.
   Manny v Cotto is a risk, Manny might win , but get hurt in the process, or get cut..then the Mayweather fight is at risk…I don’t think Manny’s people would take that risk.

   Whoever said cotto is slow obvisouly hasnt watched cotto fight. The fight is very possible and could even be in the works right now. Cotto would be too big for him at 147 and i think he would win but if they fought at 140 i would favor manny.

   yh big and strong,
   but we said hatton was too big and strong, and pacman wasnt powerful enough, he ko’d hatton
   pacman has proven he can beat big strong bully type fighters, still it would be a good fight

   Roach says no problem. If Cotto and the other guys are willing to go down in weight then no problem…Pacquiao said he’ll take on anyone.
